September 28, IFIF public relation- Russia`s Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Iran`s Ambassador to Moscow Mahdi Sanei held talks to explore the grounds for bilateral ties in different fields between Tehran and Moscow.

Both officials stressed expansion of all different fields of cooperation particularly custom affairs and also called for execution of electricity swap deal between Iran-Russia and the Azerbaijan Republic as well as construction of four thermal power stations in Iran by Moscow.

Other topics including holding the 13th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission in Tehran in December, signing free trade agreements, facilitating consular affairs and promoting agricultural cooperation were discussed between Tehran and Moscow.

Bilateral trade exchanges between Iran and Russia indicates 70 percent increase in the past six month.
